This is the cold email plan we'd run for an email and SMS agency that serves online brands in one category. The best signal takes five minutes to find. Add something to their cart and leave.
Your market is every brand in your category selling through its own online store. Store Leads lists stores by platform and category and shows which ones run Klaviyo.
Narrow it to brands big enough to feel the money. A brand running paid ads every day has the traffic to make email worth fixing. These are the signals worth looking for.
Sign up with a test inbox and add a product to the cart and leave. No reminder within a day means sales are slipping out of their store.
Sign up for their list and count what arrives in the first week. One discount code and then silence means there is no welcome flow.
Store Leads and BuiltWith show Klaviyo on their site. A brand paying for Klaviyo and sending one email a month has the tool and not the program.
Meta Ad Library shows how many ads a brand runs. Lots of ads and weak email means they pay for each visitor and keep very few of them.
Look for a text message signup on the site or at checkout. A brand without one has a whole channel left to test.
Lead with the cart test and the date.
Lead with what arrived after signup and what should have.
Lead with their ad count and what happens to visitors who don't buy the first time.
Lead with the tool they already pay for.
A supplement brand and an apparel brand need different flows. Refills matter for one and sizes and seasons matter for the other.
Sign up and browse and add to cart and leave. Screenshot each email and text that arrives over seven days. Send one page with the flows that are missing.
It works because it is their customer's experience and not your opinion. The missing flows are the job.
The five emails their welcome flow should send. Write them in their brand voice and include the subject lines.
It works because the writing is the hard part. Once the emails exist the next step is someone building them into Klaviyo.
Build their abandoned cart flow inside their Klaviyo and switch it on. They approve the emails first.
It works because Klaviyo shows the revenue each flow brings in. After a few weeks they can see exactly what one flow is worth to them.
Have it live within a week of getting access.
Hi {{first_name}},
Added {{product}} to my cart on {{company}} on {{test_date}} and left. No reminder came.
We run email and SMS for {{category}} brands only. Happy to build that reminder in your Klaviyo free.

Hi {{first_name}},
{{company}} is running {{ad_count}} ads on Meta right now. Signed up to your list to see what happens after the click.
Two emails in a week and no welcome series. Wrote the five I'd send instead.

Hi {{first_name}},
We run email and SMS for {{category}} brands on Klaviyo.
{{proof_line}}
Worth a look at {{company}}?

Swap {{proof_line}} for one real result of your own. A flow you built and the revenue Klaviyo shows for it. If there is no result yet then leave the line out.
At smaller brands the founder decides. At bigger ones it is the head of ecommerce or the email manager.
Results depend on the offer and the list. Three outbound agencies that publish their own numbers land between one booked meeting per 1,000 people contacted and one per 2,000. One of them also tested 650,000 cold emails with a plain offer and got about 3 to 6 interested replies per 10,000 people.
Those are other people's numbers and not a promise about your market. Your market's number only comes from testing it.
We build and run this campaign for one agency per industry.
Thirty minutes on your market and how we'd reach it.
